This Demantoid garnet is from Ghazni, Afghanistan. This rare and unique specimen  measures 63.7 mm tall by 46.3 mm wide by 31.7 deep. One large crystal embedded in matrix stone is complimented by several smaller crystals. The piece has a flat bottom allowing it to stand upright very nicely.
